Malloy’s motor repair facility is UL Approved for repair of Explosion Proof Motors. Our highly skilled repair staff, with 100’s of years of combined experience, is able to repair and rebuild a wide range of electric motors and associated apparatus including:

Malloy’s repair facilities are well equipped with the latest electric apparatus repair technologies, and designed so that we can provide high quality repairs in a timely and cost effective manner. Some of our state of the art testing equipment to diagnose problems quickly and assure reliable repairs including:




• Water-cooled temperature controlled burnout ovens designed to maintain motor efficiency
• High potential surge comparison testers
• Vibration testing equipment
• Core loss testing equipment
• Balancing capabilities up to 20,000 pounds
• Dynomometer testing

Each motor in our shop for repair goes through a series of steps to insure quality handling and diagnosis.

• Each motor is disassembled and thoroughly cleaned.
• Motors are carefully inspected for any mechanical problems.
• Bearing journals and bearing housings are accurately measured and compared to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• The winding is hipot and surge tested before and after repair.
• After repair, each motor is reassembled and tested with a series of electrical and mechanical tests to insure that the repaired motor is in excellent operating condition.
