Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates daily operations by providing leadership for service, processes and work orders. Working with the service team through development and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures. Planning and directing operations to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional service and solutions to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the service team and be familiar with the staff’s capabilities, personality, skill levels and work proficiencies.

  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow them through to resolution, resolve issues in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Ensure repairs and other tasks are performed correctly, effectively and efficiently.

  • Keep accurate records and documentation of customer service orders.

  • Use provided tools and resources to help sales staff with customer work and sales orders.

  • Examine shop equipment, operating conditions and facility maintenance to make repairs or outsource responsibilities to third party organizations.

  • Provide information for enquiries in a timely, clear and pleasant manner.

  • Identify process improvements for the service process.

  • Working in a repair shop environment, with occasional on-site work at customer locations.

  • Some overtime and weekend work may be required based on workload.

  • Perform other functions as necessary.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Communicates clearly, concisely and openly in all verbal and written communication.

  • Well-organized and responsible with customer information.

  • Ability to work as a team or independently and handle multiple projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with computer programs.

  • Ensure a positive and safe-minded work environment.

  • Current and valid driver’s license to be added to Malloy’s vehicle insurance.

  • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
