Materials Handler - Mandan, ND
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler & Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering products to customer locations, managing shipping and receiving tasks, and ensuring that all logistics run smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage and handling in a safe manner.
Communicate with the department and customers to confirm delivery details, address and changes that arise.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary paperwork.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries.
Prepare shipments by packaging and labeling items according to specifications.
Assist in tracking inventory levels and conducting regular stock counts.
Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and conditions against orders.
Accurately enter shipping and receiving information into inventory management systems.
Work closely with other team members to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues.
Perform other functions as necessary.
Skills / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Class B CDL preferred or willing to obtain. Medical card preferred.
Previous delivery, shipping, and/or receiving experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills and customer service.
Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
